Heavenly Father,
We pray this day and the following days for President elect Obama. We live in a troubled world, but you Oh God are not taken by surprise. We have voted and selected a new leader and you oh Lord knew the outcome even before the earth was formed.
We have argued and debated, but your plan for this world will remain strong and uninterrupted by the affairs of man.
We call upon you now for wisdom and guidance for our new president. Order his steps, direct him in ways of righteousness. We fall upon your mercy now dear Father to protect your people and direct this new leader of the free world.
Have mercy on us Oh Lord, Have mercy on our new President Oh God. Have mercy on this world dear God. We need your wisdom now more than ever. Give that wisdom to this Young President. In Jesus precious name we pray, AMEN!
