Simple Soup

This simple soup is one that I use a lot during the winter months and when I have places to go that leave me gone the better part of the day. I typically make this on Wednesday's because I like to visit my Local Goodwill store for half price days. I don't go every week, but do try to coordinate this with grocery time when possible. I mainly go to check out the book section as I never pay full price for one and I'm also always looking for certain things to sell on E-bay. I don't sell on a large scale but I know what books sell well so I always keep an eye out for those types....I can pick up books for 25 cents or less and sell some for 5 to 10 dollars......anyway back to soup! This is just my super quick, super easy vegetable soup. Yes you could chop everything up yourself but that defeats the purpose of quick :) . This is a dump and run dinner ;) Try to always keep the cans of items listed so you can whip it out in a hurry!

Quick Veggie Soup
1 can Veg-all with liquid (or any mixed veggies you like, could use frozen but add more water if you do.)
1 can tomato sauce
1 can diced tomato
3 beef or chicken bouillon cubes
diced onion or onion powder (to taste)
diced garlic or garlic powder (to taste)
2 cans water (use the small can)
Dump everything in the crock pot. Heat on low for 6 to 8 hours. EAT!

You can just do this on the stove too.....but that means you'll have to cook when you get home and you're all tuckered out.! You can add brown rice, noodles, or dumplings the last hour or anything else you like for variety. Sometimes I'll brown ground beef and add it for beefy veggie soup or throw some chicken chunks in. Serve this with good homemade bread. See mine in the picture in front of the crock pot? This is for another post for sure......but that is the easiest bread I have ever made- no lie! I found the recipe while floating around other blogs and it is a MUST share! I am SO excited about this! You make a dough, keep it in the fridge and use all week long for baking, even for pizza crusts-my work load just got cut in half! Anyway we'll get to that amazing recipe post later!!! That's my old 1970's crock, don't laugh at him...he's older than I am and works perfect and has served my family well over the years. Thanks Mr. Crock! If he ever dies I plan on using the inside to store my utensils in near the stove,I just love the brown glaze color of it :)

Hey Moxie, could you please, please, PLEASE post your bread recipe. I am SCARED to make bread but The General would LOVE IT (I had a bad experience with the yeast). Also, do you have a link to where you sell books on ebay..I buy books when I get the time and would rather buy from you when possible.

Many Blessings :)
