Taxes

This is probably one of my more controversial posts as I rarely write on politics! LOL! I e-chuckle because there's not much else I CAN do. Tax time is coming up and we just sent off for our Turbo Tax package...there have been other times over the years that I have had the same feelings about taxes. I am not a tax protester (although in heart I probably am) I am a tax reformer who supports individuals who hold my same values to promote them to levels in government to make changes. Although we are FAR from real change this years presidential election gave me some hope despite it's turn out. We had a few hopefuls in the start who publicly supported and got air time for real tax reform...something I haven't seen in the past...so I feel there may be change during my lifetime! With the withholding of tax returns in some states....as BAD as that is.....it may help people see there is need of real change...it may rally the troops so to speak, get the ball rolling beyond the radical groups into a true grass roots movement by the people. I sure hope so! I DO know there are people out there who do not pay their taxes on principle and I admire them, we have not been called or led by God to take this action during this season of life with our four littles at home that depend on me and DH....but if a real movement got started with numbers in the masses joining....who knows!!! I AM NOT directing anyone to stop paying, just airing my own thoughts as tax season nears...and my thoughts are sometimes jumbled all up...not about the taxes but about what is truly the God honoring way to handle the situation....for now, I am paying Caesar what he is due until God leads my family otherwise. How's everybody else feeling as tax time rolls around this year? Thoughts?
