I've been waiting for 2 whole months to share this gem with you!!! I had to make sure it was a true gem and not just a nifty little fake. LOL! Do you know what a buf puf is? I use them and have for many years. I know I could just stop using one altogether and spend nothing....but I haven't. They cost around $4 for one and I can normally use one for a few weeks then it moves on to other uses. when it's no longer good for your face you can use it to scrub your tub or even your dishes. I use my old ones on my bird cage-works great on that dirty job. Well I got really excited a year ago when I found my local Dollar General sold their version for only $1!! That was a great savings to me at that. But now I have found something, in my opinion, that is far superior at half that cost! It is a terry cloth applicator pad 2 pack- sold at the same Dollar General store in the auto department for 1 dollar. I discovered it on a fluke whilst purchasing the item for garage/car work. I looked at the thing and thought, hmm...well just maybe? So I tried it and it's been so nice!! It's just some nice soft terry cloth stitched over a rather plush pad. The thing is BIG and lush feeling in your hands with just the right scrub factor....and the other super thing is I have thrown it in the wash many times now and it is still going strong at 2 months in! So since it's a two pack that makes them only 50 cents each and I don't think this one is anywhere near being warn out yet! I wonder how long it will last? I'm thinkin' half the price to start and maybe 3 or 4 times longer lasting...woOT= REAL SAVINGS!! Sometimes it pays to think outside the box. Do you have some items that you use differently around your home other than their original use or other frugal finds? If so please share in the comments.

When I find baby wipes on sale and have coupons to use on top of the sale - I stock up. We use them around the house for sticky fingers, to remove my eye makeup, and cleaning spills on the carpet. I also have a container in the car to clean my hands after getting gas.
I forgot about baby wipes in the car!!! It's been a while since I needed wipes :)
