Last week My best friend and I went out to celebrate her 40th birthday.....I turned 40 recently too. We have know each other since 8th grade. She's one of my favorite people alive. Been there through everything in my life...and there's been a lot.....she's such a trooper!!! Life is funny.....how fast time moves, isn't it? 40 isn't soo bad...in fact it's WAY BETTER than what I though it would be. I remember my parents at 40....thought they were so old.....haha what did I know....I was just a kid. I only have six short years left till my brood are all 18...wow! Little things have changed....yes I have gray and a few crows feet...but I don't mind those. My body is still pretty kind to me ....only my eyes seem to be changing a bit. I now can not focus through my glasses to read books. I think it may be bifocal time real soon. When the weather is warmer I'll get my booty to the eye doc to see- haha there's A PUN in there......LOL. Well I hope and pray that I get at least 40 more years....actually I so wanna make 100! I think that'd be really fun! We'll see. Have a great Monday! I am gonna take this day off and catch up on laundry and some books...I worked really hard this weekend so Monday is the new Saturday for me this week. Take care friends!

Thoughts on 40

I'm going to be 42 this Summer and it's not as bad as I thought it would be either. I thought 30 was old when I was a kid. Oh and my eyes are doing the same thing. OY!

I wanted to thank you for commenting on my blog! This post... about turning forty struck home with me. I am 36, but the other day I was saying the same thing... "I remember thinking my parents were so old when they were my age. But I don't feel old!" Only ten years til my youngest turns 18. I am trying to stretch time. I'm NOT ready. :)
Baaaa....I'm hardly ready for anything that happens in my life....LOL! One day at a time!
