Composting....yea or nae. I don't have much kitchen scraps as we have some out door bunnies (2...Mario and Yoshie) who get most my fruit and veggie peelings and scraps. But it still may be a good idea. I'm looking into it. I found a few quick frugal plans to make 2 different kinds at little cost. You can run on out and buy a nice swanky tumbler type one at the garden store but those cost a TON! Anyway here's what I found....have to share the free information!
Here's a design for a smaller one using a garbage can.... I don't know about you, but I do have some older cans in the garage that I could use. This type may be good for you if you want to start smaller, or are worried about animals getting into your compost....you could secure the lid with bungees or rope. This one you can also move around if your can is on wheels:

Here is a plan for a pallet composter. Pallets you can get free from most hardware stores and sometimes garden stores. It's only the cost of hardware or like in the video you can "make" something to hold it all together, the man below uses wire coat hangers....pretty cool and if you have many like me....FREE!! :
