Cooking with Kids Series: Part 3

Breakfast with S~. S~ is my second born twin, brother to E~. They truly are the best of friends! S~ enjoys a big breakfast so this is the meal he wanted to help me with. We just did eggs and cinnamon rolls and fried bulk sausage... this time we just fried the sausage like browning ground beef instead of forming patties....it's faster and easier that way.....but he can also make toast , pancakes, and has helped fry bacon before. About the only thing he hasn't done in the breakfast area is hash browns or fried potatoes....but we have got the whole summer, right?

Mixing up the eggs for scrambled....we use a LOT of eggs for the 6 of us so we find it easier to whip them all in the blender...we use 12 to 16 eggs depending on how hungry we all are.

Cooking the eggs and sausage.

Icing the rolls...yum we really love these things!!

Come and get it....breakfast's on! We don't always do such BIG meals to start the day but sometimes we do! Especially if there are a lot of outside chores to get done. This would make a super easy quick dinner too!

Not only are your kids learning about cooking, but I am sure that getting their picture taken and put on a blog, adds to the motivation. They know Mom is pleased wit them.
