Wow! (Warning: question from a desert-dweller is coming) Does one typically have to rake up all the leaves that fall off...or is it okay to just leave (no pun intended) them there? I ask because I was sort of jealous of those who get to enjoy the pretty leaf changes, but then thought to myself "eventually they fall off...what a mess!" Lol.
We had high winds here in Pa as well! I thought the kids were going to blow away...really!
Becky- you can just leave them..but a big thick layer can kill the spring grass. We never rake- too much! Once the leaves are all mostly down we just fire up the mower for one last run before winter....this chopps and scatters the leaves pretty fast!
Kim- YES I watched the news radar and looks like the band of storms was far reaching yesterday!!!! WOW!
We had those winds here in Iowa and now my son's dog can look straight up the birch tree and see all the squirrels as all of the leaves are gone. He is a happy dog.
It was eery and got cold. Had to turn the furnace on.
It was th worst storm f the year (so far) here and yes Martha it was eery...I kinda liked it though...kinda made it feel more Halloweenie!
